A few nights ago I had an interesting experience that shifted my world. Weird, because it was so random, so mundane.
A kleenex fell out of the car.
That’s it.
Okay, that isn’t all of it.
The kleenex fell out and, before I could snatch it, blew away. Now I’m not one to litter, so I chased it a couple steps and gave up, deciding there was no way I could catch the wind.
“You can do it!” Joe said.
“The wind has already taken it,” I replied.
“Then run faster.”
So I did. I probably looked like an idiot (which, truth be told, was the deeper reason I stopped trying in the first place), but with Joe cheering me on I easily reached the kleenex and scooped it up before the wind could take it again.
As my fingers grasped the tissue it hit me…
How many times have I stopped because I believed myself too far behind or feared what others might think?
Has that happened to you?
How many times has “being behind” convinced you to stop?
How many hidden projects because you fear what others might think?
I know it’s just a kleenex, but it taught me this.
9 times out of 10, the only thing holding us back, is us.
You CAN do it, my friend! It may take a little extra effort, but fulfilling the measure of your creation IS possible for you.
I believe in you.
Loves & hugs,
